Change the wear parts while the rollers are out.
Make your folding machine like new by getting all parts needed for roller changeout, including bearings, couplers, brass blocks, washers, bushings, and spring washers.
Replace all bearings and add at least two or three roller packs to recovery, exchange, or new roller orders. The first two or three roller positions usually see the most wear on these parts.
What is in the roller packs?
The MBO roller pack includes one coupling, two bushings, two small brass blocks, and two spring washers. MBO bearings are installed on all roller orders.
The Stahl roller pack includes two one-piece bearings, two spring washers, one hanger washer, four hanger bushings, and two hanger spacer washers.
Key Notes
- Replace couplers if a roller can rotate more than 1/8 inch in stationary mode.
- Replace hanger bushings if the roller hanger can move sideways more than .03 inch.
- Replace bearings during changeout to avoid seized bearings damaging the roller journal.
- Use hanger washers or shims to prevent hangers from rubbing on the folder frame.
